Newport Harbor High School Robins Hall – Loats Theater

At one hundred thousand square feet, the Robins Hall – Loats Theater is the latest addition to the Newport Harbor High School.

The original and innovative architectural design is one of the remarkable features of the Robins Hall. The home to 500 Seat Theater, building incorporates state of the art educational and science classes, library, carrier development center, and campus administration offices.

The HVAC design of the Robins Hall includes multiple Rooftop Packaged Units with the heating and cooling capacities ranging from 5 ton to 20 ton systems. Hydronic reheat system with Variable Air Volume zoning, sound isolation system for noise control in the critical areas, specialized chemical exhaust and venting systems for the science classes, Advanced Building Automation and Energy Management System.

Southland HVAC & Construction completed a full HVAC/R and Energy Management system installation, start-up and test. All sheet metal ducting and stainless steel venting was self fabricated and delivered to the project.
